SRA has been asked by our Members, industry representative bodies and levy payers to provide research, development and adoption (RD&A) solutions that help improve production on the farm and at the mill, and which can transfer this knowledge into practice fast. Creating efficiencies through stronger collaborations with industry and other research organisation is also essential.

Description:

About us

SRA invests in and manages a portfolio of research, development and adoption projects that drive productivity, profitability and sustainability for the Australian sugarcane industry.

An industry-owned company, we are funded by a statutory levy paid by grower and milling businesses.

The SRA member and levy payers’ stakeholder investment is also directly supported by the Commonwealth Government matching funds and grants from the Queensland Government and other bodies.

We know and understand the issues our members and levy payers face. We tackle these issues to find research solutions and new and better ways of doing things on-farm and at the mill.

We do this by fostering an environment that encourages new initiatives and rewards innovation.

SRA is committed to maximising our members and levy payer’s return on investment by managing research that succeeds.
