Leigh Conlan
Leigh has over 28 years experience as a specialist consultant in the area of Indirect Taxes, specialising in the Research and Development tax concession and incentive, GST, Stamp duties and Employment taxes. Leigh has expertise in providing client and structuring advice for Indirect Taxes, and in conducting due diligence and specialist review. Leigh also has extensive experience in tax litigation, objections and appeals, litigation support, dispute resolution and mediation/risk mitigation with both the Commonwealth and State Taxation Authorities. Leigh provides assistance and advice to clients including preparation of industry reports, client applications for R&D incentives and grants and in gaining private and public rulings. He is currently a representative of a number of peak bodies and consultation committees with the ATO and AusIndustry. He has previously represented industry bodies with Treasury and State Government bodies.
Tony Conlan
Tony joined Specialist Accounting Services in 2017 following seventeen years as a business development executive in the field of Information Technology and Telecommunications. Tony has had extensive experience working with world class leaders in software and hardware systems within the ICT sector. Tony has qualifications including a bachelor degree in Communication and Electronic Engineering as well as a post graduate diploma in Finance. Tony comse to SAS with a breadth of knowledge of product development, R&D and business development in the field of ICT.
Dr. Lindus Conlan
Lindus joined SAS in 2012 after 15 years experience as a Research and Development Scientist in Industry and Public research organisations, including CSIRO, University of Washington and St. Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research. Lindus brings her Research and Development expertise to assist clients to formulate and articulate research projects to comply with the R&D tax incentive legislation. Her knowledge of the scientific method and Research and Development definitions assists in identifying eligible activities and novel R&D under the new R&D tax legislation. Lindus’ extensive experience in preparation of competitive government and private grant applications also assists clients wanting to business assistance and grants.
